Protecting and Preserving All Life -- By Extending Human Vision

Virginia Rose Best Adams

Virginia was born in Yosemite and grew up with the belief she was special; that her father was a great artist, and she was destined for greatness.  But others around her were so much better off.

Her mother was younger than her father, but died early, leaving her with the duty to assist running their small and struggling concession in Yosemite.  A father who paints, and sells, his work could have been exciting if not for the fact these sold only occasionally.  Books took time away from work, which was never done.

Other girls, daughters of concessionaires had more time and fewer responsibilities.  And working hard was not enough.  Virginia needed  a photographer to ensure there would be a steady income made from sales.  But who was there to marry?
